s1mple: Number One in the Game

"1 in his name, number 1 in the game"-  Machine on s1mple, Na'Vi vs Team Liquid, Katowice 2020.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a game that has been around for almost 8 years, yet only few have come even remotely close to match the skills of this man.

The Natus Vincere star, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has forever been regarded as a legend of csgo along with the likes of ScreaM, Fallen and Zywoo but the man keeps repeatedly proving why he is the number one of all time.

Once again, s1mple stole the limelight in last night's BO3 against Team Liquid, thrashing them 2-0 and sending them home from the quarter finals of IEM Katowice 2020. He performed consistently throughout the game, hitting unbelievable shots and flicks which appeared to break the laws of physics. But his brilliant performance was overshadowed by two of his own plays which eventually won them the game and the series.

First was in game 1 on Dust 2 with an insane clutch coming out from his AWP. Liquid wiped out all of his teammates and he was left alone in what should have been an impossible 1v4 scenario, but s1mple had other plans. One after one he took down all of Liquid, winning them the high stakes round which otherwise could have easily cost them the game.

This was soon followed by him trying out the most humiliating way to kill in CS GO, the 360 Noscope. After getting a kill on Stewie down A-short, s1mple was quick enough to jump down and push through the CT smoke, catching 2 terrorists off guard and humiliating Naf with a dirty 360 noscope before being traded instantly by Elige.

We are privileged to have someone like s1mple in the game and it will always be a great pleasure to indulge in the magic he brings into the game. Tonight they take the stage up against Astralis, which is quite easily their toughest challenge in the IEM Katowice 2020 so far. Regardless, one thing's for certain, if this man is in the zone tonight, then Astralis better watch out.
