Na' Vi No.1 in the World

Na' Vi knock Astralis off the no.1 spot to be the new best team in the world

It just keeps getting better for Na' Vi. Just about a week ago they defeated G2 in the IEM Katowice 2020 Grand Finals to be the champion, which also included literally bullying team Liquid and Astralis beforehand in the quarterfinals and the semifinals respectively. Now, as it stands, they've managed to replace Astralis, who had spent the last 4 months in a row at the no.1 spot after being briefly overtaken by Evil Geniuses from October 28 to November 11.

World ranking as it stands of now

This is the second time Na' Vi earned the no.1 spot, as they first got familiar with this position back in April 2016, after being back to back runner-ups at the MLG Colombus Major and at Dreamhack Masters Malmo. They spent 3 weeks at the top before being replaced by team Luminosity. Since then Egor "flamie" Vasilyev is the only player who remains from that roster.

Na' Vi are now 6 points ahead of Astralis, which is one of the closest point gap we've seen between 1st and 2nd positions recently. Both teams will be competing in the ESL Pro League Season 11, which will kick off in a week. Now all we have to see is how long this new Na' Vi team with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev in his godlike form manages to keep their no.1 spot.
