Today, the developers announced that the much anticipated game will enter its closed beta on April 7th. While the game is scheduled to be released during summer 2020, depending upon the responses from the closed beta the actual release can still be delayed.

The process of entering the closed beta of the game is a bit different from usual. Normally, you'd just sign up at the official website and you'd have a beta key ready in your email by the time the closed beta starts. But Riot decided to spice things up a bit.

First, you'll have to link your Twitch and Valorant accounts. Then, you'll have to watch specific Valorant streams on Twitch to be eligible to be a part of the closed beta.

The next part is gonna upset several fans, especially those who are not from Europe, Canada, Turkey, Russia or the United States because the closed beta will be available only in those countries as confirmed by the devs. This is due to the unfortunate pandemic that is currently going on throughout the globe. The full details regarding the beta and the game itself can be found on their official website.

From the first looks at the game, Valorant seems to be a hybrid between games like CS:GO and Overwatch. It seems to take the classic shooter elements of FPS games and mix them with the complex abilities from MOBAs such as DotA 2.

With all the promises the devs made regarding the performance, gameplay and anti-cheat of the game, Valorant is very likely to be a huge success and an insanely popular title in the world of esports. It's only a matter of time before we find out what this game will bring to the table.
