'The Last Of Us' Finally Getting a TV Series; Coming Soon to HBO.

The post apocalyptic video game which is still widely considered to be one of the greatest games ever created, The Last Of Us, is finally coming to television!

The game that shook the video game industry to its core with an unforeseen storyline and astonishingly engaging gameplay is now being turned into a TV series and is already in the works at HBO.

But wait, there's more good news! The series will be led by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin. Chernobyl is a masterpiece in itself, so it's needless to say that the hopes and expectations for this upcoming series will be set pretty high, and it's highly unlikely that fans are going to be disappointed, since the game director Neil Druckmann himself will be the executive producer of the series.
Naughty Dog's president Evan Wells is also supposed to be another executive producer of the series, which will be co produced by Sony Pictures Television.

The news was confirmed by Naughty Dog themselves by a tweet earlier,
"We’re so psyched to be teaming up with @HBOto create a new The Last of Us series with @Neil_Druckmann and @clmazin at the helm".

With The Last Of Us Part II coming to PlayStation 4 in May this year, the TV series will supposedly have more content to work with, since it is rumored that the series will follow the events of the game itself.

We're rooting for the series to be as good as the game, if not better; at the same time we're hyped for part 2 of the critically acclaimed AAA title releasing on May 29. Although not much is known about how the production of the series is going, we'll be sure to keep you updated.
